Perth Based Burlesque Artist | Pinup Model | Vintage Blogger
Good afternoon lovelies!
After a little time away due to illness, I have returned almost back to full health with many exciting updates, blogs, photoshoots, performances and much more! One update being the adventures of the weekend just past with Perth Fashion Festival! The performance company I work for, Lady Velvet Cabaret, held a number of spectacular events apart of Makeshift in the Perth Fashion Festival.
Opening Night Party:
For the opening night party we put on an intimate show including burlesque performances from Sugar Du Joure, Monet Petite and yours truly, and three catwalks featuring clothing from Jessica Frank Millinery, The Powder Room, Red Stripe Clothing, and Blaah Designs. The organisers of Makeshift providing delicious food from European Foods, and wine from Repertoire Wine.
Curves to Kill:
Friday evening the Curves to Kill workshop was held, teaching body confidence, self love, and how to dress for your body shape. The workshop included styling and a fabulous photoshoot with Jennifer V Photography. This event was taught by the very talented Sugar Du Joure who also teaches the Burlesque Starlet course at LVC.
Pinup Workshop, High Tea, and Great Gatsby Workshop:
On Saturday we had quite a busy day; starting with the Pinup Styling Workshop which I taught. It included pinup fundamentals and posing, a styling class, and a photoshoot with Jennifer V Photograhy. The next part of the day included a high tea hosted by Feisty Entertainment, comprised of a range of tasty treats with burlesque performances by the Lady Velvet Cabaret performers including myself. The final event of the day was a beautiful Great Gatsby Workshop which had a styling class taught by me, then a photoshoot with Jennifer V Photography where Zoe from The Powder Room styled clothing and props.
Vintage Fashion Market:
To finish this fabulous weekend LVC hosted a vintage fashion markets which involved a stall hosted by myself with hand crafted goodies and vintage pieces, as well as other stalls holders such as Red Stripe Clothing, Miss JamJam, Blaah Designs, Lady Velvet Cabaret, NovelTea, Jessica Frank Millinery, The Powder Room, and Art by Sylvia Sippl.
Overall we had a spectacular, I met so many beautiful and inspiring people. I’d like to thank all those who attended these events, and I truly hope you had an amazing time! I’d also like to say a big thank you to all those who were involved in putting these events together, the designers and those who worked at these events, without all your hard work none of this would have been possible.
