Good afternoon lovelies!
Today I’m writing this blog about a fabulous vintage fashion website named The Vintage Fashion Collectionary. The Collectionary was founded in 2009 by YellowDog Media, with has a vast range of Collectable items, and one very large section to this being true vintage and reproduction items, it is a dictionary of vintage fashion collectables, and the perfect place for anything vintage related.
With thousands upon thousands of online stores, The Collectionary stands out from other websites as it was created to document decadent outfits and allow you to discover more about vintage clothing and where you can purchase these items from. The name “Collectionary” combines “collection” and “dictionary” to embody what you can find on this website.
The Collectionary evokes nostalgia and inspiration taking all who visit their website a stroll down memory lane. This website features true vintage clothing items and accessories from 1900’s – 1980’s, and modern vintage-inspired clothing, along with where they’re available for purchase, if still available of course. To stay up to date with The Collectionary you can become a member by visiting their website and clicking “join”, which will allow you to receive a weekly newsletter, with contests and trivia, and the ability to create lists of your favourite items! You can also apply to become a moderated which allows you to research and share vintage collectables on The Collectionary. Don’t forget to have a browse of their Facebook page too where loads of beautiful vintage dresses are posted!
I’m personally a member of this website, and have used it on many occasions to research vintage clothing, to find inspiration, and when looking for true vintage items to purchase. One of my favourite parts of this website is that its thousands of stores in one place, and allows me to find, or assist me to find exactly what I’m looking for at a fantastic price!
