Hello lovelies,
With the weekend upon its time for one of my favourite blog posts, Friday’s Vintage Cocktail! Always remember to drink responsibly, and if you’re a younger reader to abide by your states drinking laws, you can always make a mocktail version of this drink!
This week I’ve chosen a wonderful vintage cocktail to feature, I usually give a little brief about the cocktail and include a bit on its history too. For this week I’ve chosen the Sidecar! Below I have a video by Cointreau and Dita Von Teese with some decedent imagarey about this delicious drink!
Ingredients:
1 part Brandy (in the Cointreau video they use Remy Martin Cognac)
1/2 part Cointreau
1/2 part lemon juice
Method:
Shake well with cracked ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. I think garnishing adds a lovely flare to a cocktail, for mine I used a lemon wedge, but be as creative as you can be!
This drink is absolutely beautiful! Before I sat down write up this blog I made up a big batch to keep drinking while I write! With this segment on my blog I have featured a few citrus based drink, as I love them so! I love fresh zesty flavour, with the glass being chilled, and the drink being at quite a chilled temperature its a really nice to be in a nice and warm inside on a autumn’s day and sipping this!
Above is our new bar area featuring this cocktail. Next to the class on the left you can see a naughty little dachshund figurine that is doing his business on the jigger! A cute find we bought from a vintage store that was closing down!
More vintage vlogs and blogs coming soon!
