Hello lovelies!
As a few of you may know, especially if you follow me on Instagram, I do love a good smoothie! I love to start each morning with a smoothie full of fruit and vegetables, and I think its really helped me in the sense that I have move energy from drinking all these delicious nutrients!
With posting my smoothies I have had a few responses; some people who wish to know more about my smoothies and exercise regime, and others who have assumed my eating is unhealthy. For me personally I don’t look so much at my weight and how I should look, I love the skin I’m in and while I do love to treat myself (I’m a chocolate addict) I try to nourish my body with healthy foods as much as I can. I wouldn’t say I’m an extremely thin person but I still receive my fair share of comments from people telling me to eat more, I believe body shaming in any form is not acceptable. Everybody is beautiful no matter what shape or weight, but I also think being healthy is the key to both looking and feeling fabulous!
I’m posting my smoothie recipe today to share this with those who may wish to make it, and enlighten people how much food is actually in this smoothie!
Ingredients:
* Please note I don’t really measure out so much, and guess how much I like to add. I also sometimes use ingredients such as pear, blueberries, cranberries, basil, spinach and other delicious ingredients, depending on what’s growing in my garden or what food is left in the fridge! *
While the drink does have a green colour which I think can be off putting to some people, in my opinion I think it is truly delicious! Don’t judge this green goodness until you’ve tried it yourself! Before I started making smoothies I felt a smoothie wouldn’t be filling, as its just a liquid, but I feel full for hours after drinking this, of course if it doesn’t fulfil your hunger I recommend coupling your smoothie with another healthy breakfast item like a slice of wholemeal toast with avocado!
I’m thinking about also putting together a pinup excise video on my YouTube channel featuring excises to help you feel fit. Exercise is an important component to a healthy lifestyle, and I think exercising a small amount each week can help us feel better mentally! Let me know what you think though!
