Friday’s Vintage Cocktail

Hello lovelies!

The weekend is here and it’s time for my fabulous Friday’s Vintage Cocktail blog post! This week I’m doing this a little different, I usually share with you all a cocktail that’s pre-1970’s, but today I’ll be featuring a modern drink! Never fear though, I promise this one is going to be delicious, and I’ll be featuring more vintage drinks in the future!

As always please be sure to drink responsibly, and if any younger readers stumble across my blog, abide by your states drinking laws, you can always make the non-alcoholic version of this!

As many of you know I have a sweet tooth, and with this I thought I’d make something decadent and delicious for us to share together. Today I’m featuring the Frangelico Iced Coffee Cocktail! In the ingredients below I’ve listed the plant-based alternative, which tastes amazing.

  • 1 jigger of Frangelico
  • 1/2 a cup of soy milk
  • ice cubes
  • 2 teaspoons of coffee
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • soy whip (whipped cream)
  • boiled water

  1. To begin boil water and in a separate cup add a very small amount of hot water with you sugar and coffee and mix well.
  2. In a cocktail shaker add your coffee mixture, Frangelico, soy milk, and iced cubes, then shake well.
  3. In a beautiful glass add a few ice cubes and strain the drink from your cocktail shaker.
  4. Garnish with whipped cream, and a strawberry.

This is one fabulous drink! It’s beautiful and tastes like a decadent dessert, and you can dip the strawberry in the cream when you finish drinking! This drink ain’t seasonal, I’ve made the summer version, but for winter you can always make a hot coffee version! I think this drink it a fabulous number to serve at a party for friends on a vintage drinks try for that little extra glamour, but there’s nothing wrong with just sipping this with someone special at home too!

More vintage blogs coming real soon!

Much love,
