Hello lovelies!
The weekend is here, and I’m so very excited to be sharing with all of you my Friday’s Vintage Cocktail blog post! On Friday’s I share a fabulous true vintage or true vintage inspired cocktail with you all to celebrate the weekend being here! As always please be sure to drink responsibly and if any younger readers come across this, be sure to abide by your states drinking laws.
Today I have for you a simple cocktail as I’m going to be off to see the fabulous Cabaret Berlin show tonight at Rigby’s Bar & Bistro which is featuring such talented Perth artist as Vicious Von Vixen, Trash Valentine, Ava Royale and many others! This week I have the you the Classic Champagne Cocktail, a recipe dating back to the 1860’s, but was quite popular during the 1940’s and 1950’s. This drink if referenced quite frequently in classic films with just a couple that come to mind including Casablanca (1942), and Lured (1947) starring Lucille Ball.
To set the mood for tonight’s cocktail, I’ve put some candles in the lounge room, popped on a record by Louise Jordan!
My cute swizzle stick!

This drink is one I’ve had on many occasions, its simple to concoct and has a certain elegance to it. It’s a drink that really makes me feel like I’m starlet during the 1940’s. The Classic Champagne Cocktail is definitely for those who love their sparkly, and I love how it’s a twist on a standard drink that gives it more flare, the flavour is light and with the bitters and sugar it has a definitely uniqueness to it.
I hope to see you tonight at Cabaret Berlin!
Much love,
