Perth's very own pinup queen, burlesque artist, producer, & blogger.
Hello lovelies, it’s Miss Lady Lace here. Today I have for a fabulous review for an event I attended recently, and this was the Elvis King of the World Mega Concert at the Perth Concert Hall. The show featured over 60 musicians and singers who have dazzled audiences all around the world.
It was conducted by the show creator John St Peters who also played the piano throughout the show and starred James Cupples as Tom Jones and Jack Gatto as Elvis Preseley.
Perth Concert Hall was wonderful venue for a show like this, with comfortable red seats to enjoy the show and a beautiful theatre made for a very special night. The production value was of such a high standard, the magnitude of how many performers and musicians were on stage blew me away with the incredible sound they created. Coupled with the amazing lighting of the show they also included footage and details about Elvis’s life throughout the night which was very fascinating to learn more about.
Jack Gatto as Elvis was phenomenal, he really brought Elvis back to life with his own flare. He emphasised paying tribute to Elvis and not trying to be him which is something I really respected. Jack has a striking resemblance to Elvis, but it’s his beautiful voice that brought the house down.
As someone who is a fan of Elvis who never was able to see him perform in person this was a truly magical experience. I’m truly honoured to have had the privilege to attend this event.
