How To Identify True Vintage!

Hello lovelies, today I have for you a rather fabulous video on vintage fashion where I’m sharing my tips for identifying true vintage/authentic vintage clothing. Vintage fashion is one of my biggest passions and I love talking about it so much, I’m not an expert in this nor am I a fashion historian but I’m hoping you might find this video useful in your own vintage shopping.

In the world of vintage fashion there are many different terms floating around which can make it confusing especially when you’re new to the world of vintage. I generally break pinup fashion into two categories, reproduction clothing (modern clothing reproducing vintage style) and true vintage/authentic vintage clothing (clothing actually made in an era like the 1950s).

You may be wanting to start your own collection of true vintage clothing, or have a collection you’re looking to expend your own wardrobe but how can you tell if an items is actually true vintage. There are many times items are mislabelled, whether its from lacking the understanding or being deliberately mislead it’s important learn how to spot a true vintage item.
