Friday’s Vintage Cocktail!
Hello lovelies!
The weekend is here, and I’m so very excited to be sharing with all of you my Friday’s Vintage Cocktail blog post! On Friday’s I share a fabulous true vintage or vintage inspired cocktail with you all to celebrate the weekend being here! As always please be sure to drink responsibly and if any younger readers come across this, be sure to abide by your states drinking laws.
For this week I’m featuring another cocktail from the fabulous cocktail recipe illustration card deck titled Shag’s Tiki Drinks Deck by Adam Rocke and illustrations by Shag who’s an iconic vintage-tiki styled artist. Our drink for the day is the Skinny Dipper! It’s now spring in Australia and it feels like Perth is finally catching up with this season with beautiful sunny warm weather so it’s time for a summer cocktails!
The Skinny Dipper
Ingredients:
- 1 jigger of melon liqueur.
- 1/2 a cup of cranberry juice.
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.
- Lemon slice and/or maraschino cherry to garnish.
Method:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, put all ingredients into this’d shake well.
- Pour into a decadent cocktail glass (collins glass recommended).
- Garnish with a lemon slice and/or a maraschino cherry!
- Enjoy as this weekend is here!
This drink is a fabulous summery treat for the warmer weather especially as this weekend is sunny and in the high 20’s! It’s time to host a glamorous afternoon cocktail party I think. The Skinny Dipper is fruity and light with a twist of light sourness with the lemon that is just perfect! I think this drink would be fabulous to turn into a punch with adding some fruit chunks in a bunch bowl for this to go down treat! Whether at home, poolside, or just relaxing in the garden this is one delicious retro drink!
