Miss Lady Lace is a professional burlesque artist, pinup model, makeup artist and vintage blogger based in Perth, Western Australia. With her passion of vintage glamour and working completely freelance she hopes to share her love with the world providing vintage events, authentic styling, and decadent performances.
Lady Lace’s passions started from a very young age, she first fell in love with the vintage lifestyle when she was 14-years-old, when she first saw performances and photos of the very talented Dita Von Teese. Already studying dance, she pursued more and more vintage styles of dance, conquering all she could. She also perfected the art of vintage styling and continued to learn as much as she could. She continued working hard, performing her first showgirl performance when she was 16, until she finally came to the age where burlesque she performed her first group performance at 17, and once 18 her first solo in October of 2010. In that same month she was asked to join one of Perth’s premier troupe’s where she worked for close to four years, mid 2014, she choose to leave here to make her biggest dreams a reality.
With her performing she has worked very hard to become a highly recognised performer in Australia being interviewed and featured in numerous international publications for this, even making the over of American Classic issue #8. She has performed all over Australia, including at the Melbourne Australian Burlesque Festival in 2011, and has also performed extensively all over Perth. She has worked for a vast range of high-end shows, corporate functions, and festivals including being apart of the show, Lucha Royale, which won Perth Fringe Festival’s people’s choice award n 2012. Lady Lace has also been teaching classes in showgirl in burlesque, pinup, showgirl, flapper, and other styles.
At 16 she also fell in love with modelling after taking part in a few photo shoots for friends who was starting out their portfolio. She loved the whole process of shooting, from styling, and posing to seeing the extraordinary results. She worked hard on her own portfolio, slowly working up to a professional level, in early 2011 she was accepted into Scene Commercial Faces Agency (a sector Scene Model Management), where she worked for two years, and in early 2013 she left her agency to pursue the work she is most passionate for.
