Dressed App

Good afternoon lovelies,

While I do love all things vintage and pinup I’m quite content living in this day and age, I hear a lot of ladies who say they were born in the wrong era, that they truly belong in the 1950’s, but this was a time full of repression, science wasn’t where it is today, and technology was minimal. I think I was born in the right era, being so set on making my dreams come true and running my own business; men would not have been able to handle my aspirations. All of this brings me to share with a fabulous app I got on my phone, which is perfect for any pinup girl!

Dressed App is a virtual dressing room where you can add all the items of clothing, shoes, and accessories you own, by either taking a photo of them, uploading a photo from a website, or using a template (where you can pick a fabric, or take a photo of a special print and use this). With all your wardrobe uploaded you can go through and plan outfits, and see how they’re going to look before having to try them on which can be very time consuming, especially on those mornings where you have no time to spare!

What I love about this is its super simple to use, it does take a little while to get used to how it all works, but after putting in a few items up, I was obsessed. Initially uploading all your items can take a little while, but I had so much fun doing it, and it gave my fiancee some time to play his Xbox! This app is really fabulous though, I constantly have the issue of feeling like I have nothing to wear, and usually try on a million things before I’m set to go, but this really illuminates this issue! Another issue I have is locating items, which is also solved by logging in the “notes” section of your garment description!

My big tip when uploading your wardrobe is if your taking photos and editing them, to either wear the item and take the photo or use a mannequin like I have in the photo above. If you just hang up your clothing item it looks quite flat, and won’t have the effect as if you’re going to wear it. If you photograph on a white wall editing it also a lot easier!

How much do you think you’d pay for such an amazing tool? $20, maybe more? It’s only about $2.50 from the Apple app store! There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be downloading it right now. Especially consider the power couple behind this wonderful app are from Perth, and we should always be aiming to support local businesses.

Do you have the Dressed App, let me know what you think of it by sending me an email, or by commenting below!
