Pinup Brush Out

Hello lovelies,

For this week’s YouTube post I’ve put together a quick little video I filmed whilst getting ready the other day showing how I brush out my hair for a shorter defined style. I use many different methods for styling my hair, this one took less than 10 minutes to put together!

In the near future I’ll be putting together different videos on vintage hair styling including how I make my own setting lotions, a basic setting tutorial, and brush out tutorials. If these are something you’d be interested I’d love to hear from you in the comment below!

More vintage fun coming soon!

Much love,

I LOVE the tutorial! I really must buy myself a set of curlers! Do you have any particular kinds or brands that you would recommend?

Also, I’ve been dying to ask for awhile now, how do you get your hair that gorgeous shade of Cherry red? Do you have it done at the hairdressers or do you colour your hair yourself? I would love to be able to try this gorgeous shade, but will understand if it is a secret you don’t want to let out of the bag! 🙂

Hello Emily! Foam rollers are definitely a really good way to curl you hair, opposed to a flat pin curl I find the curler gives more body. If you find them uncomfortable though you can remove the plastic part and put a rectangular piece of fabric through the middle to create roller-rag curl set.

I actually have the wonderful ladies at Cherrybomb Beauty Parlour maintain my colour, they do an amazing job. I know they change products a lot to experiment with colour, but I do believe it’s usually a custom made colour from brands like Directions. 🙂

Thank you for your lovely comment, and I’m so pleased you enjoyed the video, I hope to make one with more of the steps broken down very soon! ❤

Thanks so much for responding – and for the wonderful advice!! 🙂 I’ll definitely be looking into foam rollers! And thanks for the tip about the pieces of fabric, I’m going to write all of this down. 🙂

Oooh! I imagined it was probably a custom colour – how lovely to have the ladies at Cherrybomb Beauty Parlour to maintain your gorgeous colour! Maybe I could bring a screen cap into my hairdressers and he could try to replicate it. 🙂

I’m really looking forward to more tutorials! 🙂 I hope you’re having a lovely new year so far!
